Try this easy 20 minute weeknight dinner. This creamy burger stroganoff will quickly become a family favorite. It requires less than 5 ingredients too!

Every time I take a bite of Poorman stroganoff, it brings me back to my childhood. Growing up this was always the dish that I would ask my parents to make. When I got older this recipe and spaghetti were about the only two things I knew how to make. But even though my personal recipe book has gotten a little bit bigger. This recipe is still a staple in our house especially on busy nights when I don’t have much time to cook!

I have only ever served this meal over rice but I’m sure it would be good over pasta too.

Let’s get started

First you will start by browning the hamburger meat. I have used different types of burger including beef, elk, and venison and they were all delicious!

Add 1 can of cream of mushroom soup to the browned burger.

After adding the cream of mushroom soup, fill the can up with milk and pour it in.

Stir ingredients and let simmer 5-10 minutes stirring occasionally.

Once you are ready to serve, mix in two tablespoons sour cream.

Serve over rice and enjoy!
